Dr Eric Steibl, DC

Muscle Activation Techniques, Advanced Rolfer in Los Angeles

Dr Steibl is originally from Montreal, Canada where he received a bachelor's degree in Phsyiology from McGill University. He moved to New York in 1985. He graduated from the Swedish Institute of New York City in 1990 and became a Licensed Massage Therapist. Over the years he became certified as a Rolfer (Structural Integration), and then Advanced Rolfer. He eventually also got certified in MAT (Muscle Activation Techniques), ART (Active Release Techniques), NMT (Neuromuscular Therapy), Graston Techniques, Kinesio-Taping, Deep-Tissue, Medical Massage, Sports Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Foot Reflexology, Shiatsu. He is certified in MAT Rx, which is the highest level of MAT (Muscle Activation Techniques). There are only a handful of MAT Rx certified practitioners in Southern California, and he is the only doctor. He also completed training in AMR (Advanced Muscle Reconditioning). He recently moved back to Los Angeles to set up a new practice. He is also currently studying Functional Medicine. Doing body work has been a life-long passion of Dr Steibl and he has now been in practice over 30 years, and continues his education.

In 2009, Dr Steibl went to Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles for 4 years where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was Valedictorian of his class in 2012. He was also the anatomy tutor for two classes in the cadaver lab at school during those 4 years. He moved back to New York City in 2012 to re-open his bodywork practice adding chiropractic to his already full menu of therapeutic soft-tissue techniques. In July 2019 he moved back to Los Angeles in the Westwood and West LA areas. 

Dr Steibl developed Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia in 2014 and has successfully navigated his way back to optimal health. He now has a passion in helping other people dealing with this debilitating condition, using lifestyle coaching and nutritional counseling.
